A portion of the rental fees are used to support Troop 33 Scout’s activities from attending summer camp or paying monthly dues. Another portion of the fee is used to maintain and pay for the track. When available, Scout’s will help run the race for experience and a way of earning the proceeds for their scouting needs with the adults . We have had scouts earn their full summer camp costs by pinewood derbies. Many earn their membership and camping fees by participating in derbies and other troop fundraisers such as wood cutting and Christmas tree sales.
